Worked for Government of Assam as a Civil Servant (ACS) in various capacities since 1975 onwards. Retired as Officer on Special Duty, Home Department, Government of Assam on February 1992. He was the Founder Administrator of Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya and served from 1994 to 2002.
He was finally associated as a Member of the Management Committee of Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya from 20th July’2002 onwards till his demise.
